The Era’s Tour Movie

It’s been a long time coming, but finally, the Era’s Tour movie has hit cinemas and it’s truly an entertaining, spectacular and unforgettable experience. Swifties from all over the globe have the opportunity to be part of something so special. Taylor has made this movie for all of her loyal and dedicated fans who would not possibly get the chance to see her show live. Summer might have been the time for “Barbie”, but with the fall here, we welcome the one and only Taylor Swift. Forget all cinema etiquette when attending (keep in mind to always stay respectful), because it will be the 3-hour dance party of your life, bring your friends, exchange friendship bracelets and sing at the top of your lungs. The movie itself is done very flawlessly, with special effects added to the already unreal show that Taylor manages to perform, each song takes you on an adventure through the Eras: Lover, Fearless, Evermore, Reputation,  Speak Now, Red, Folklore, 1989, Midnights. Starting with “Miss Americana and the Heart-break Prince” and ending with “Karma”, the audience is kept wanting more, because Taylor doesn’t disappoint blessing us with yet another cinematic masterpiece. Not to mention that this movie in addition to breaking a number of records, became the first concert film to earn over $100 million and to hold the top spot at the US box office for two weeks. It also established a record for the biggest first-day ticket sales in 2023. So gather all of your Swiftie friends, if you haven’t already, and have the time of your life.

1989 (Taylor’s Version)

As the clock hit midnight on October 27 Taylor Swift dropped her iconic 1989 album, this time Taylor’s Version, re-recording all of our beloved songs from classics like “Bad Blood” or “Shake It Off” to new sounds we’ve never heard before, called the vault tracks like “Suburban Legends”. It’s no surprise that 1989 TV has already managed to spur controversy and raise unnecessary drama, the majority of it frankly surrounding the “the handsome, the talented, the narcissistic, one of my personal favorites: Mr Harry Styles!”. Ultimately, Swifties who are spreading negativity due to some lyrics Taylor wrote 9 years ago, should take into consideration that this “relationship” involved two young people, now both of them have matured and grown, leaving any hard feelings behind. Furthermore, we shouldn’t let assumptions and rumors, get in the way of enjoying a very beautifully written song. Despite the opinions on the release varying, we all should unanimously agree that Taylor sounds healthier and stronger, her voice is clear and crisp in every song. Now it’s just a matter of time before this album charts and beats new records.

This is all that happened in “Swiftober” from finally getting to experience the Era’s tour in cinemas, to listening to the re-recorded 1989 album and discovering hidden gems, that have been kept locked up in a vault for 9 years. We thought that September was spectacular, considering the numerous MTV awards Taylor managed to take home in one night, it just keeps getting better, can’t wait to see what November might bring, all thats left to say is are you”…Ready For It?”.
